One of the most upcoming carriers in today’s world is Restaurant Jobs. The hyperbolic growth and development of places of recreation, shopping complexes, theaters etc has given way to restaurant industry. Unlike many other mundane professions, this carrier option gives you complete liberty and opportunity to exploit your creativity and shape your innovative ideas. With the growing demand there are least chances that career in this field can ever meet saturation. Restaurant jobs lie in various different categories.

Generally young people with a pleasing personality and good communication skills are hired. Earlier experience in similar context always gives an edge over others but its not mandatory.

Back end positions in restaurant job category are those of chefs, kitchen manager and kitchen assistants. There is always a huge demand for good chefs skilled in multi-cuisine preparations. Several training opportunities and professional courses are available to provide training for chefs. Kitchen managers are responsible for oversee the management and running of the kitchen. Regular check on the quality of preparations, proper maintenance of the kitchen utensils, keeping the record of the purchases and consumption and oversee the hygienic condition of the place are a few things included in kitchen manager’s duties. Kitchen assistants are hired for general running of the kitchen. They are involved in preparation, cutting and dicing of vegetables and other food stuffs, washing the dishes and cutlery and cleaning of the kitchen area.

Restaurant management jobs for administration positions are rated very high. Such positions require professional degree holders.

London is a scenic city brimming over with history, culture, and beautiful architecture. There are dazzling places to visit and great London restaurants. British food is best sampled at restaurants that specifically cater to that preference. “Butlers Wharf Chop House” is arguably one of the best English restaurants in the city judging by the rave reviews it continues to receive despite the modest ambience.

For a gourmet lunch at not-so-high prices, “Bibendum” serves up a varied feast from fish ‘n chips to open ravioli of lobster and samphire with girolles. “The Capital,” a French restaurant that bears a two star Michelin recommendation, offers wonderful 3-course set lunches and dinners at very reasonable prices.

Traditional pub grub at the local gastropubs is also very popular in London. Here you can get delicious food at great prices. The “Anchor & Hope” is as renowned for its no-nonsense style of business as it is for the food. Guests are well-advised to arrive early as the wait for a table can be quite long as the night draws on. (Reservations are not entertained at this pub.) “The Atlas,” another famous gastropub, offers a cozy environment with an old-fashioned charm.

A visit to London’s best restaurants is incomplete, however, without at least one visit to the renowned “Beefeater.” More than just another opportunity for a good meal, Beefeater provides for an entire experience that cannot be missed. Themed for medieval times, the restaurant-a torch-lit vaulted cellar-goes all out on ambience, putting out a medieval banquet complete with King Henry VIII, minstrels, troupers, dancing wenches, jousting knights, and strolling players. The mood is upbeat and there is plenty of excitement and entertainment to be had through the night.

Pizza is a global food. Everyone all over the world loves eating pizza, and it comes in so many varieties that you can no longer say that Italian pizza is the original pizza. The United Kingdom is truly a cosmopolitan country, as it is filled with all kinds of people from different races. The most cosmopolitan city in the United Kingdom, however, is London; this city of United Kingdom has people from different parts of the world, and furthermore, draws the attention of the biggest tourist crowds towards itself each year. Here are the top famous pizza restaurants in London, United Kingdom:

1. Eco: Located in South London, this gourmet pizza restaurant has been around for quite a long time. Although it looks a little old now but it still draws the attention of a large number of students towards itself. The student crowd although is a change from its initial kind of crowd of gourmet foodie’s. They serve very thin crusty bread pizza that is heavenly in taste with its generous toppings. You can choose from goat’s cheese, fresh tomato, porcini, fontina, and truffle oil to bresaola and rocket. This restaurant is located on Clapham high Street.

2. Franco Manca: Located on 4 Market Row, Electric Lane, this cheap organic pizza place has everyone buzzing about it. Run by Neapolitan-expat Giuseppe Macoli, the pizza is strictly Neapolitan with many rules regarding its preparation. The mozzarella they use is from Alham Wood Farm in Somerset where it is prepared from milk of water buffalos. They have six different toppings, like chorizo, wild mushroom and garlic, and the oven has been imported specially from Italy.

3. Il Baretto: Il Baretto had a bad start. Initially known as Giusto, the restaurant’s ground floor was not used much, which meant a lot of people never realised that there was a restaurant in the basement. However, in recent times, the restaurant has changed the way it looks with large and airy rooms, Italian limestone flooring, walls made from brick, and panelling upstairs, and has shifted the restaurant business downstairs. It is located on Blandford Street, and with its wood-fired ovens, there is excellent food here from swordfish carpaccio to lobster.

The Lobster Pot situated on the corner of a noisy major road junction in Kennington, this rather dirty old grey London building certainly did not lean itself to what I was expecting. I think the fact that the main door was decidedly locked didn’t help. This was looking more like a very suspect area with a “get me out of here” feel. However I needn’t have worried, with a few bangs on the door, it flew open and there in the doorway stood our very excitable host Herve Regent, including huge handlebars moustache and winning smile!

He took us to our table where we were surrounded by the sounds of squarking seagulls. The interior was decked out (if you excuse the pun) of the inside of a large boat complete with portholes and live fish swimming past! On the ceiling hung enormous fishing nets. As we purused the setting a ships loud foghorn blasted into life! Nearly scared the pants of me!

I began to forget the ugly surroundings outside and concentrated on the eight course menu in front of me. I was in awe and had gone to gastro heaven! There’s no mistaking their intention here, every meal is a feast! There is no doubt this guy is a specialist in fish. When most of us are still in the land of nod, Herve is on his early morning wanderings around Billingate Fish Market in the heart of the city to discover some strange new fish to put on the menu.

The surprise came at the end, we actually managed to finish all the eight courses! Fantastic evening, superb service and unusual but delightful surroundings.

Herve even accompanied all six of us across that busy road junction to the waiting taxi’s with the passion only a frenchman can muster.
